I Chronicles 16:31 "Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, "The LORD reigns!"

So when we say that the creation speaks about God the Creator, what is the creation saying? The problem is that most of are too busy to hear. We are too satisfied with the concrete forests that we have created. For one thing the creation declares is that God is in control. No matter how much we try to ignore the Creator around us, from time to time He reminds us that He is still in control. We build our mansion in the forest thinking we have it all under control because we now control the forest. Then a forest fire comes and destroys our meager efforts. We build our homes along the seashore and put all sorts of barriers only to have them knocked down by a hurricane. We build our homes and we look at them with great satisfaction and He brings earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, landslides and the list could go on and on.

Yet Samuel looked at all that goes on in this earth and then wrote, "Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, "The LORD reigns!" We might ignore the heavens and we might ignore the earth, but we cannot ignore God. God the Creator still reigns over the affairs of mankind and from time to time God the Creator comes around and reminds us that He is still in total control of our lives and everything around us. He reminds us that in His eternal power He is still in control, and compared to the power of the Creator we are nothing. He knocks our pride to nothing and He brings our hearts into total perspective as to who He is. God the Creator, He is God and He reigns over the affairs of mankind.
