Psalm 37:1-2 "Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away."

Sometimes it is difficult to get ahead by doing what is right when everyone around seems to be getting ahead by doing wrong. Sometimes we look at our faith and what we believe about God and wonder where He is or if He even cares about me because of all the wrong that seems to be going on around us. I have often wondered what our people felt about God our Creator as they quickly started losing things like our land and the God-given culture that was so precious to us. We look at the things going on around us and we get distracted, and in doing so we wander away from the things that are true and from the things that God the Creator desires of us and the path we are supposed to take.

David was man who knew about the good and bad that happened all around him. He knew what it felt like to be rejected by friends and family. He knew what it meant to be victorious and then suffer defeat. But he encouraged us to stay focused. Not to get distracted from the path that we should follow. He encouraged us to have that special faith in God that no matter what happens around us, assures us that He is still with us and in control of our lives. David wrote, "Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away." In the end, the evil of this world will be dealt with. In the end, those who prosper by doing wrong will have to answer to God the Creator. In the end, they will be like the grass and plants of the fields and die. In the end, we who are trying to live the life that God desires of us will prosper.
