Romans 16:25-26 "Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him--"
The question has been on my mind since I arrived in Michigan: did we come from the north or did they come from the south? It seems that both the Apache people and the Ojibwa people have been placed in the same people group, the Athabaskan group. I guess it is because we come from the same language group. The problem is that our traditional stories never include us migrating from Canada to the lands we now live in. So did we come from the north or were we here all along? I'm not sure what the answer is but I do know that according to our traditional stories, we were always here in the land that God the Creator placed us in - the lands we now call south Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and northern Mexico. If we did come from the north, it has long been forgotten and is remembered no more.
I guess this is a mystery that we will never know unless somehow God the Creator decides to reveal it to us in one way or another. But there are some mysteries in the Bible that God the Creator has chosen to reveal to us. Mysteries that bring to light who we are in Christ and what our relationship to God the Creator is in view of what Christ did on the cross. When the Bible talks about a mystery it indicates a truth revealed for the first time. So there are some things that God the Creator does not want us to have to second guess. God the Creator gave the people prophets or holy men to make sure things like heaven and the eternal God would not be a true mystery. Paul said, "Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him--" The truth about God the Creator is right before us if we just take the time to learn and not be ignorant.
