HE KNOWS by Robert Soto

Joshua 22:22 "The Mighty One, God, the LORD! The Mighty One, God, the LORD! He knows!... "
Life is full of surprises. Yesterday, I could not wait to get back home. I left early to make sure I made it to the airport on time to drop off my rental car and make sure I had a good seat for the first three or four hour trip from California to South Texas. I got there with enough time to eat a good meal. With each bite I kept looking at my watch to make sure I was not late for departure. I finished my meal and got to my gate only to find out there was a delay. But no troubles, a forty-five minute delay would be no problem since I had a two and a half hour layover. I got in with enough time to load the plane and get ready for the next three hours in the air. I opened my beading box and proceeded to bead. With each stitch I would look at my watch and wonder how many miles closer we were to home. We finally arrive at my connecting airport and as I looked at the screen and looked for my final destination my heart fell when I noticed those horrible red letter words that said "FLIGHT CANCELED." That was the last flight out to my home town and now I needed to find a place to spend the night due to a cancellation because of bad weather.
As I looked around, I observed frustrated people whose plans were all ruined by an arctic front that had brought in heavy rains and snow with ice. Everyone seemed to be taking it out on the airline employees who really have nothing to do with the weather nor the cancellations. As I sat in my hotel room eating my pizza, all I could think about was God. God has a way of changing things in an instant. I say God does because He even controls the weather around us. So for some strange reason, He wanted me to spend one more day away from home. I might not know the reason why, but God the Creator knows. Joshua said, "The Mighty One, God, the LORD! The Mighty One, God, the LORD! He knows!... " So next time the unexpected happens and what you plan is canceled, just remember - the Holy One above knows and is in control. So just be still and wait.
