STAYING FOCUSED by Robert Soto

I Chronicles 16:11-12 "Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced..."

Life is too short to worry. I have to remind myself of this every day. Every day the Evil One who tries to distract us from the things God the Creator wants us to know and experience, comes our way to lure us from the truth and to cause us to worry about things that have not happened - and that probably never will happen. But that is the liar that he is. He will do and say and bring your way whatever he feels will take you away from the one true God and His love for us. The Evil One comes to us in the quietness of our lives and places thoughts in our brains that will eventually lure us from the peace and tranquility that God the Creator has for us. He lurks around your life and makes you focus on the problem which is in front of you and not the solution, which is the unseen Creator of all we see and do not see.

So what do you do when the Evil One starts to take you in the wrong direction? David hit the nail on the head when he said, "Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced." So we focus not on the things that are happening, because those things will take us away from the peace and comfort God the Creator wants for us. We focus on the good things and the good times God the Creator has brought our way. We focus on the times He took care of us and provided for us and worked miracles in our lives. We do not focus on the problem but on the One who will, as in times past, take care of us today.
